Aloha sfakhran
IMO gold is a medium(years) 2 long term(decades) investment. People who buy and sell quickly, are manipulators & speculators. Many in the pits, speculate it should get back up to about 700 by december. I saw one today on "cnbc buisness" who is a large firms "metals man" state that was his opinion. He also said it may drop again a small amount in the near future before reaching 700 in dec. IMO that seems realistic, but it is a speculation. When it comes to short term predictions it is a roulette wheel, round and round it goes, where it lands nobody knows, type thing. LONG TERM it can only go up as demand increases as populations grow in size and as they enter the computer age and new uses are found such as nano gold which is looks very promising in the long term. I saw some one say in a forum the other day say an IPOD has about 1/20th of a gram of gold in it. he then broke it down like this: Apple sold 11 million iPods in the 4th quarter of 2005, and another 8 million in the first 3 months of 2006. 19 million iPods. Lets anaylize these #s 19mil IPODs w/1/20th gram = 950000 grams 31 grams to an ounce = 30,645 ounces. = 1915 pounds = close to A TON of gold has been used on JUST IPODs from "4th quarter of 2005 to the first 3 months of 2006"(a very short time),and that is just the APPLE BRAND ones. If we were to crunch the #s for computers, cell phones & the thousands of items we use everday in the modern age we live in and then peer in to india china and the rest of the world that shall soon want these items as they enter the modern age tech arena, gold can only go up.IMO Follow your heart, mind and gut & if you look at things as advancing peoples daily life & not just see gold as breadbasket, your essence shall guide you and protect you. Peace and Aloha
