Default Gold Mickey Mouse for sale lol

Bidding starts at $2 million.

Like so many expensive things that serve no useful purpose, the item for sale straddles that flimsy line between collectible and kitsch, and somehow fits perfectly into all that is ostentatious about South Florida.

We're talking about a 2-foot-tall, 24-karat, solid-gold sculpture of Mickey Mouse.

The rest of the story here:http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/custom/tourism/orl-locgoldenmickey31073106jul31,0,7902406.story?coll= orl-home-headlines

The thing was made when gold was at $275 an ounce.($500,000)
it weighs 1500 ounces troy(93 pounds)
& this potential rip off artist is starting the bidding at 2 million (lol)
which is double the price of gold at todays market price per ounce.($646)
I understand the notion of making a profit, but get real this guy is preying on the feeble minded!

Someone should investigate the company that places its value at $4 million.
No one came close to the opening bid! of 2 million,
so how do they value it at 4 times todays market rate for gold? GREED!
This thing has no "Disney collectable value"
except that Disney accepted the makers money(licence fee) to allow its construction!

Peace and Aloha

The metal called gold.
In so many fascinating forms & molds it is sold.
